Note To Self

There is only one option when we “choose” to give up and not pursue God for the fulfillment of our predestined dreams – Death.  It may feel like it would be a waste of time to keep believing God for goodness and greatness in your life but you will never know what success truly tastes like until you go all the way with God and know that he is faithful in all things and all areas of our lives.  Yes indeed it gets hard some days… most days… but I still believe that God is faithful to his word even when we fall short on holding up our end of the covenant.  None of us are worthy and none of us are capable of accomplishing life in general, not to mention, being blessed beyond what we could ask or even think.  It is only because of Jesus that we are able to come boldly to the throne of grace at all.  Never get it confused who it is that did all the work and that is why he deserves all the glory, honor and praise.  Therein is where you will find peace, comfort and joy while you travail and traverse life on a daily basis – It s not up to you to get you to your destiny once you say “yes” to God’s will and his way – It’s totally up to him to fulfill his word until the day of Jesus Christ.  Have faith in God.

BRAINIAC

The theory regarding people only using only a small portion of our brain capacity has neither been definitively proven nor unequivocally debunked.  However, I would like to toss my hat into the ring to suggest that there a way that we can believe in God that will increase our ability to use hemispheres of our brain that we once thought defunct and dormant.  There was a time when I couldn’t imagine a life of more than just enough and barely getting by.  And the more that I began to believe and trust in God; and to in my faith; I began to see my world expand as well as my capacity to believe for greater.  It was as if God were allowing me to expand and imagine a life that was once dead and impossible to me.  The more I desired more of him, the more he enlarged my territory to believe for even more.  The brain, as like God is both still mysterious and unknown fully to us.  God says that wisdom comes from him and it will enable me to gain understanding where I once lacked the ability to discern his path for my life. But once I committed myself to following him, the lamps were lit up and I saw that the path he has for me is indeed good.  Stretch your faith and it will broaden your ability to see what was once alien to you. What more could you be with God?  You already know what you can be without him. There is more to the brain than just the Medulla Oblongata that many like to quote and there is more to God than just salvation.  He has more for us, if we can only believe for more.

Motivation

There is one thing that the upper and lower class can agree on that I have witnessed over my years of working for multi-millionaires: The upper class choose to make their children work a menial, low-paying job for either the summer or for a form of punishment; in order to teach them to know that they are blessed and privileged to be living the lifestyle they have the benefits of enjoying - And to be thankful. The lower-class has no other choice than to have their kids work m...enial, low-paying jobs; and it is not for a form of punishment but their hopes are for their children to learn that there are people who are blessed and privileged to a live a lifestyle that separates the “have and the have-nots – the lower from the upper class” - And to be thankful.
The motivation for the upper is to not become a lower and the lower is to rise up higher. It’s amazing what motivation can do for either one. What’s your motivation?

Not Gone Die Today

David went out and fought Goliath because he knew that it wasn’t his day to die.  He fought the giant in faith because he knew that he had only been anointed King, but hadn’t actually been crowned King of Israel, therefore, he wouldn’t die on the battlefield that day and he could be confident that what he believed God for would have to come to pass.   Sometimes all we have is our belief in what God told us and nothing else.  Oftentimes there is nothing left for us to grasp ahold to other than God’s faithfulness – and not our own.  We trust in knowing that God is faithful; and that is what we cling to in order to keep holding on until he blesses us.  It may only be a thin thread, nearly invisible as a spider’s web but that one flimsy thread can pull us up out of the mire of a life that has held us back and up into the life that God has already declared will come to pass or his word fail.  You may have run out of every reason on why you should give up and have every excuse on why not to keep pressing; you may very well have to exhaust your bag of tricks of coping before you do as Jacob and grab hold to the Lord until he blesses you!

Go The Distance!

There is a great divide in wealth and a social gap between and betwixt the have and have not’s around the world, not just in this country.  Nevertheless, money is still being printed and made.  New millionaires and billionaires crop up every day and some people think to themselves, “Well, I could have come up with an idea like that.”  The vast difference between people who live out their lives as they so desire versus people who live the life that they stumble into is the one in whom they place their trust.  God can take the space that separates us from the life of abundance and make it as minute as a crack in the sidewalk – and I step over those all day, every day.  I know that what I believe for appears to be down-right ludicrous; especially knowing that I don’t have a boot or a strap to pull myself by but I do not have to own anything other than a sling, rock and the ability to speak to the giants in my life and declare that the Lord of Host, whom I serve, will deliver me.  God has taken paupers and made them kings and sold food for pennies that just the day before went for a king’s ransom.  We can go to bed tonight hungry and awake the next day sitting at the table of great men and they will be musing at what God was able to accomplish in a days’ time in your life; and to his glory.    One thing God will not do is allow his word to fail and return to him void.  His word is surer than your next moment of life.  Have faith in God.  Go the distance with God and he will not disappoint you.

Illusionist

If you think that David Copperfield really made the Statue of Liberty or the Oriental Express disappear then there stands your first hurdle to jump.  He does a very good job at creating an illusion that is designed to make you think that in fact he did.  The fact of the matter is we know that it appears that the objects have vanished into thin air, but the truth is that we know that Lady Liberty is still standing in the harbor and the Oriental Express still glides along its tracks.  Now if Mr. Copperfield can trick thousands with a sleight of hand – what do you think that the enemy of our minds can seemingly make disappear or cause you to believe doesn't exist?  Harry Houdini and David Copperfield are the greatest of our time at making you doubt what you know to be true and they are mortal men.  What chances have you to battle the enemy at his own game?  Deceit and doubt are what he does best.  He is the father of the lie.  The only way to get the victory is to trust in Christ Jesus alone. You cannot beat him alone.  Hold on to your faith in God to keep the right perspective.
Below: Do you see two faces or do you see a vase? Perceptions can change.  The fact is that both are visible.  The truth is relative to what YOU see and you believe to be true.  If you believe that God will honor his word – he will.  If all you see is doubt and despair; and you have accepted that your plight in life is all that you see right now, then that is what you shall have.

Respect

It should not be about conceit nor envy when you see a person driving a luxury vehicle. Reason being, it tends to lend itself over to a form of respect. Respect for what the person does to maintain that lifestyle. Imports and luxury vehicles come with a high cost, high maintenance, high gas, and to travel in that level garner respect for the person who chooses to pay that high price associated with owning a luxury vehicle. When we journey with God on this faith walk it is as luxurious as we can travel BUT it is a high price to pay. Jesus paid it all and we have to keep up the maintenance in prayer, the gas of faith and be willing to travel wherever he leads. It’s a respect for who God is and what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did for us in order that we may be blessed and highly favored. When you look at another believer, it should be with respect and not conceitedly or enviously. Respect for what we all go through to press forward to a higher calling. There are all types of vehicles to get you where you want to go. Some choose to go through life footing-it and others catch buses or taxis. However, there are others who choose to ride in style and living a life seeking God affords you to cruise throughout life in a custom luxury vehicle that God chauffeurs just for you. We can all get to a destination but some can get there faster and more comfortably. Respect what God has done through Christ, respect what he is God of your life and he will recognize your respect of who he is and what he means to you and bless you abundantly.

Refuse to Fear

When you are prepared, it lessens the fear of what you have to do. Most people feared test in school only when they knew that they hadn t studied. Whatever God is telling you to do, at first it seems frightening but when you seek him to get wisdom and learn how to be prepared - the task doesn t appear to be as insurmountable and in fact it flows a lot easier.

Everybody Want To Go

Several people have been credited with the saying, "Everybody want to go heaven, but don't nobody want to die."  Everyone wants to reign with God but don't anybody want to suffer with him.  Jesus' disciples James and John bickered amongst themselves about who would sit at the left and right hand of the Lord when he was seated in Heaven, but when he asked the disciples to pray one hour with him as he went into the Garden of Gethsemane, they failed him by falling asleep.  Just as Jesus had to go to the cross alone, many of us will feel alone, we will want our bitter cups that we must drink to pass from us but we must find our strength in the Father as Jesus did.  Know that when you suffer for the kingdom, you will receive your crown and reign alongside of Christ Jesus.  Find comfort and peace in knowing that as you go through that it is for a greater purpose and for a blessed cause.  Have faith in God.  1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
